Radio Workshops
My taste for music and sound led me to the radio, but then the news took over. I'm very curious and I love listening to people of all ages and recording their stories. In recent years I started to organize workshops for children and adults related to radio, journalism and sound.
Speak Louder
Creating personal and public speech
What do Winston Churchill, Bob Dylan and Neil Gaiman have in common? The ability to use words in speech or song inspiring ideals. Words and opinions are important. Inspired by the «Figures of Speech» program at the Almeida Theatre, based in London, (which explores speeches by different leaders in history) I decided to build a workshop that challenges teenagers to think, write and speak about what concerns them.
In this “hands-on” workshop, participants will learn how to process their speeches using a sound editing program and maybe even create a podcast.
Target Audience: 13 to 17 years old
Sonophony
Creating sound for the story
First, participants will choose the text (adventure, mystery, comedy) and then record their dramatized reading. In the end, the magic happens: with music, bells, steps, doors and other effects (which may be at hand) they create the sound accompaniment of the story.
We will also share some radio knowledge – recording and sound editing.
Target audience: Adjustable to various age groups

Listen to what's around us
Words and sounds inhabit our daily lives. And stories too. In this workshop, the objective is to find each one’s voice, to look for the environments and stories of the space that surround us. Using the recorder, microphone and notepad, participants will conduct interviews, collect sounds, observe.
With the collected material, we will build a radio broadcast with news, chronicles, interviews and other formats suggested by the participants.
Target audience: 8 to 11 years old
Make yourself Heard
Basic introduction to podcast
In this hands-on workshop, the aim is to share basic radio concepts so that each participant can create a podcast project.
We will discuss topics, answer questions about the language of radio and even basic sound editing concepts. Any person, organization or collective can create a podcast.
Target audience: youth and adults
