Book Clubs

I was challenged by the Municipal Library Fernando Piteira Santos, in Amadora, to create a Mangá Book Club for young people, an adventure that featured a podcast created with the teenagers who, in the various sessions, recorded their impressions about the books. It also became a place of freedom to talk about their lives. Members of the club name the podcast, ask the questions and answers, choose the songs and the show's aesthetic. Then came a  Comics Book Club for young people.

Manga

From Japan with love

Reading backwards: in five sessions we will get to know this cultural manifestation that, in Japan, is as popular as cinema and literature. It took the rest of the world by storm leading to the creation of clubs, parties, merchandising, Cosplay gatherings. But it is not limited to consumism. We will embark on an experience by subjects (issues of gender, war, romance, horror, humour) authors and styles. We're going to have a lot to talk about, ideas to Exchange. We wil record everything in a podcast. Members of the club will name the podcast, ask the questions and answers, choose the songs and the show's aesthetic.

Comics

For those who like to read or not

Large or small format, album or pocket. This is the challenge: come equipped with a good mood and an open mind to try new things. If you think you don't like to read, come anyway.
